Becoming a Disciple
Jesus was a disciple maker. In fact, when we consider the familiar charge to his disciples in Matthew 28, "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations," Jesus didn't seek a mere profession of faith but said they should be "Teaching them to obey all I have commanded you." Disciples not only believe the right things about Jesus but obey Him. And equipping you to be a disciple like that is just what we aim to do at New Covenant.
We like to communicate the "basics" of being a disciple with what we call the Discipleship Pathway. Worshiping God and being transformed by instruction of God's word, Connecting with God in Daily Prayer and with other Christians in fellowship, Serving God with good deeds and then choosing to Live 24/7 depending fully on God, growing in holiness and sharing the good news of the Gospel with others. Throughout the church's communications look for these icons to see how you can be further trained in the Discipleship Pathway as one of His disciples.
